Hi I'm Tiffany Angelle Garner

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I went on a mission to Berlin, Germany. I graduated from the University of Utah and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love arts & crafts. I like reading when I get a chance. I love spending time with my family and friends. I believe that the best things in life are free & aren't things. I am a domestic violence survivor and now an advocate to women if they need help. I have been there and though my case was not as extreme as many of other women's cases, it still was the hardest experience I have ever been through. I had to decide to finally leave my whole life behind & start over again. During this time, a good friend invited me to come to be pampered & give some much needed time & self care back to myself. Since that appointment, I learned that Mary Kay has a program to help women who are going through domestic violence & I wanted to be a part of it. I decided to sell Mary Kay & help women to discover their inner beauty & bring it out their outer beauty by taking care of themselves like I learned how to do when I went to that pampering class. I think that women need to make time for themselves because there is so much that they do. As the saying goes, "If mom ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." I want every woman to know that she is a daughter of God & he loves her unconditionally. I had to learn that through my experience the hard way when I felt all alone even though I was surrounded by lots of people. God will always be there for you no matter what. He loves you, he is your friend, & he wants you to be happy. That's the message I would like to share with you today. Lots of love, Tiffany

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, but it wasn't until I had had some experiences of my own that I can now testify that not only do I believe that this church is true, but I know it is. I know that God is real and so is Satan. Satan will do anything he can to try to stop your progress in this world. I know that God loves me and he will protect me in all that I do. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's church that he created so long ago when he was on the Earth. Restored means to bring back and not only was the church restored to the Earth, but the Priesthood power and authority was also brought back to the Earth. I have seen how the Priesthood power can bless lives. It is truly the power of God on the Earth again. It can calm us, heal us, and bless us. I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth today and he is given revelation from God to lead and guide the world. He speaks to us every six months for General Conference and I love to hear his inspiring messages. I know that if you live your life according to the teachings of the church you will find joy and happiness. It is a gospel of hope, understanding, and love. God loves all of his children unconditionally and he wants to pour his blessings out to them, but they have to be ready to receive his blessings in their lives. I think it's also important to ask because God has given us our agency and let's us choose for ourselves. He will guide us if we ask for his help along the way. I know that by staying true to the covenants I have made I can be with my family not only in this life, but also in the life to come. I think that is an amazing blessing that God has given us because I know it wouldn't be heaven to me if I couldn't be with my loved ones again.

How I live my faith

I am the Personal Development Committee Chair in my single's ward. We are currently planning to have a craft and service day each month. I also help people to find employment, be prepared for disasters, and how to live a gospel Christ centered life. I attend my church meetings & ward council meetings. I sing in the ward choir. I attend Institute where I learn more about the gospel during the week. I go visiting teaching each month or at least try to have contact with those I visit if we can't have a formal time to meet. I have helped in the community garden that is donated to the food bank. I try to do what I know is right in living my life in accordance to the teachings of the gospel. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or anything like that. I try to look for wholesome media & activities to participate in and lead by example. That is not getting any easier as time goes on and the media becomes more trashy. I pray and read my scriptures. I also read church magazines and listen to General Conference talks. I am the first to admit that I'm not perfect. Have I missed a day reading my scriptures? Yes. The point is that I keep trying and doing my best. If you haven't had a chance to read the Book of Mormon yet, I would recommend that you take a look at it. It talks about Jesus Christ and I know that it is true not only from reading and studying it, but also because I have prayed about it. God does answer your prayers. There was a time in my life when I didn't know if he was there. I didn't know if he loved me or even cared about me. It was one of the lowest times in my life and I felt alone. I decided to pray and see if I would get an answer like I had heard so many other people say. I prayed with all of my heart and God answered me. I am his daughter and he has always loved me and always will love me. I hope that if you don't know that God is there watching out for you, I hope you pray to find out. He is there and he will answer you. I know he will because he answered me.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Tiffany Angelle Garner
I am a Mormon woman and I am just a regular woman who knows that she is a daughter of God. I believe that men and women were created equally and that both need to work together in love and righteousness. I fully support what the prophets have said when they gave us "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" in 1995. I was alive, in fifth or sixth grade, and remember when they gave that. It has become a precious document to me as the world has shifted and changed over the years moving further and further away from God. It saddens me to think how bad it has gotten. I hope to be a light to those who are surrounded by the darkness and filth that Satan is bringing to make the world a dirty place to live spiritually and emotionally. I want to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God and not worry about what the world says even though I have been and will be mocked for what I do, what I say, and how I present myself to others. I would much rather be "classy" than "trashy" if that makes sense. Show more Show less
