Hi I'm Kaitlin

Raised in Idaho, moved to Tennessee, attended school at Southern Virginia University, now a missionary in Alaska.

About Me

Though I am currently a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I'm also a college student (on hold for 18 months), who loves playing the violin in the Southern Virginia University Orchestra. I really loved that I had the chance to continue developing that skill and talent even though music is not my major. I'm studying business in college. My interest in business was sparked after being exposed to entrepreneurship through jobs I had during my high school years. I helped coach dance in a small studio, and worked in a cute boutique that sold accessories for baby girls. I love the business aspect of both these part time jobs.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that through Jesus Christ I can be forgiven of my sins and one day return to my loving Father in Heaven. I know that through Him I can have the strength to do the hard things Christ asks of us. When we understand who the Savior is, what he has done for us, and how much he loves us, we will not have to feel alone! I love having knowledge that I am always loved no matter what, that Christ is always on my side, and that through Him we can better ourselves in order to reach the potential He sees that we have! I have had experiences in my life witness that to me these things are true. I cannot deny the power of the Holy Ghost, the fact that the saviors arms are always outstretched towards us, and that our Heavenly Father is a part of the details in our lives. We matter to Him. The choices and decisions we make in our life matter to Him. He wants us to be steadfast in following, which means becoming like, Christ. When we live our lives in accordance to God's will for us that is when we can be truly happy, and find lasting joy.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day as the savior would. I strive to be an example of the believers! As a full-time missionary, I have many chances to do this by sharing with others what I know to be true, and dropping everything to serve those in need. When I reflect on how I have tried to live my faith throughout my life, I think of a particular example; I had the chance as a youth to lead out a pennies by the inch activity. It was a large service project that raised money for the surrounding children's hospital. That one activity blessed my life and instilled an excitement for service that has become a part of my personality.
