Hi I'm Margene

I grew up in a family of seven and have six children of my own. I'm a Mormon who values families.

About Me

I love to be involved and to be of service to my family and others. I enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking, beekeeping, and being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. To enable us to become like Him, He has a plan for us. Part of that plan is for us to be here on this earth that He created for us and to learn to keep His commandments. Commandments are given for our happiness, not to restrict us but to keep us safe. I have always tried to keep these commandments because I like how I feel when I do. I pray many times each day to keep myself on the path that will lead me back to my Heavenly Father. When I make mistakes (and I have), I am grateful for Jesus Christ who died for me. I know that as I follow His example -- which is complete obedience -- I can return to live with Him, my Heavenly Father and my family forever.

How I live my faith

When our six children were in school, I was very involved with the PTA on every level - elementary, junior high, and high school. I am a college graduate and getting an education is very important to me and I have tried to instill that in our children. I have always served in the Church. I believe that through service, we get to know and love others. I am currently working with the children, ages 18 months through 12 years. Previously I have served the youth - 12 to 18 years, cub scouts - ages 10-11, and the wonderful women in our ward family. I continue to learn much through my service. My husband and I are planning to serve a mission for the Church later this year.
