Hi I'm Briely

I was born in San Diego, California. I'm a student studying animation. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying animation because I love art and I love movies. I always wanted to be an artist ever since I was very little and so I worked very hard to learn how to draw and to build up a talent for painting, drawing, and digital art. I have four brothers, great parents, and my dog, Joker, who inspire me and support me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church with parents that had both joined the church on there own. Although I have never lived outside of the knowledge of the church I don't feel confined. Past struggles and difficulties had me questioning where I was meant to be. This church had been handed to me but I wasn't even sure if it was true. I worked very hard to find an answer and to find a testimony for myself that could be mine and not just someone else's repeated through me. Finally, I read the Book of Mormon and after praying with real intent, wanting to know dearly if this was the right place to be, I received an answer for myself. I know this church is true. I honestly and sincerely believe that this is God's church restored on the earth today. The Book of Mormon is true and it is a second testament of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was the Savior of the world. He loved us all so I know He wouldn't have confined Himself to just one people on this earth. He taught other parts of the world after He was resurrected and the Book of Mormon is an account of one of those other groups of people. I know there is a prophet on this earth today because The Lord gives personal direction to us but He also needs to give direction through prophets. This church has all of those things. It's the true church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are the saints in these the latter days. This church is the church of the people of Christ and I know there is great peace and joy to be found in this church. Those are just a handful of the many reasons I am a Mormon. The most important of all, I know I am a daughter of God and I know this is where he wants me to be.

How I live my faith

In my life, I live my faith by supporting the members of my church. As a youth I was put in charge of planning many youth activities and even as a young adult now I have planned and orchestrated several fun activities for the members of my church to have fun and grow closer as a community. I am also preparing to serve a mission for this church and to share the message of the church with those that are seeking for guidance and truth.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Briely
The Missionaries are there to share a message of Jesus Christ and his Atonement for everyone who has ever lived. The missionaries' message is about Heavenly father's plan of Salvation which is a plan that allows all people the opportunity to return to Him. There message is a message of joy and they want that joy to be a part of everyone's life because a message this wonderful can't be held back from the world. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Briely
The Book of Mormon is the account of an ancient people that lived in the Americas. These people had traveled from Jerusalem around 600 B.C. with the direction of God and crossed the great waters to find and live in the Americas. Here they formed their church and God called prophets among them to teach an prophesy of the coming of Christ. The Book of Mormon is a record of their history and the teachings of the prophets as they received guidance from the Lord. Jesus Christ appeared to them in the Americas after his resurrection and taught them His gospel and formed His church among them. The name "Book of Mormon" comes from one of the last prophets of this people. Mormon was a prophet and a historian who abridged the records that had been kept for hundreds of years among his people. He delivered the records to his son who then sealed and hid them so they would not be destroyed by those who wished to destroy the church and the sacred record of the teachings of Christ.
