Hi I'm Natasha Neville

I was raised in Bakersfield. I went to school in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I first went to school at a community college. I loved and disliked some teachers. I went on to work on my Bachelors in a school in Hawaii. It was an amazing experience. I loved going and meeting new people, especially those from other countries. I love riding horses and writing books, fiction action packed, sometimes fantasy, books. I am a middle child of nine kids. I have lived in poor areas, and I have lived in richer areas. I know how it feels to struggle for money, and how it feels to be blessed with so much in my life. I go to karate, and I love to read books. I have received my black belt. I love listening to music, writing songs, and writing poems. I love going to the movies or out to eat with my friends. And I love to talk a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is important to me and it brings me happiness. Its important to me to live the gospel, and the restored teachings of Christ. To do as Christ would have done. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that through Joseph, the Lord could re-establish His work. I know that Christ died for us, and that He lives again. I know that Christ suffered in gethsemane and on the cross, that He suffered for each of us individually, and that He knows our struggles. I know that He uplifts me, comforts me, helps me to do good and to say no to Satan's temptations. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, as well as the Bible as long as it is translated correctly. I also know that each of these books are testimonies of Christ, and that these books teach of Christ, and of his atonement. I also know that these books are for those who want to repent, for those lost and afraid, and for those who want to continue down the path of Christ. Mosiah 4:9 and 1 John 4:18-21 are both wonderful scriptures and show that they support each other. For one talks of God, and how He created all things. And the other tells us that we should love one another, for this is what God wants.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by loving others. Im not perfect, and I need to work more on certain parts of myself and how I interact with others, but I try to show by my example, how important my faith is to me. I was asked to be a secretary for the women in our ward, to help the leaders of the women's group to plan activities and keep track of who is at church and who needs the Lord's help and in what ways. I really loved helping the women in our ward, visiting them, offering rides. It was really amazing to see how I could help them in such simple ways. Sometimes I just listened. That role as secretary allowed me to serve others and increase my faith and to be an example to others.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Natasha Neville
Christ died for us because He loves us. There is nothing we can do to repay that ultimate sacrifice. The only thing that we can try to do to get even close to thanking Him and showing His sacrifice means something to us is to try our best to follow Him as He has commanded. He wants us to be happy. The Atonement of Christ was pain and suffering that Christ went through for each person on earth. Whether they hear the gospel or not does not matter. Whether they accept His sacrifice or not, doesn't matter. He went through the suffering for each person so that He could know how it felt. So that He could know the best way to comfort us. He also went through the atonement because without His sacrifice, we would sin and never be able to return to Heavenly Father. It was just not possible. Christ went through our pains and afflictions, our sadnesses and troubles, our bad days and even worse weeks or months or even years. He experienced everything that we have ever struggled with. All so that if we return to Him, and take His name upon us by following His commandments, then we can return with Him to live with Him and Heavenly Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
