Hi I'm Matthew

I grew up in Utah. I graduated from BYU in Electrical Engineering and I'm serving a mission in Pocatello. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up around Salt Lake City, Utah. I got my Bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Electrical Engineering, and I'm working on my Master's degree there now. However, I'm taking a two year break to serve the Lord in Pocatello, Idaho. I love to make things. I've played around with electronics, robotics, and woodworking.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church has completely changed my life. I've had some hard times in the past when I felt alone and abandoned. Every day was dark and miserable. I rarely felt happy and always felt lost. However, as I turned to Jesus Christ I found myself slowly feeling better. It was like walking out of a dark tunnel, each day getting a bit brighter. I felt His love for me and knew that I wasn't alone. As I've continued to attend church and keep His commandments I've felt that love more and more strongly. The Holy Spirit tells me that I'm doing the right thing and I feel calm and peaceful now. I know that his Atonement is the only reason that my life improved.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving others. I have helped organize events for other young men my age. I have also visit other members of our congregation monthly to share a spiritual message, as well as offer my help for anything they might need. Right now I'm serving as a missionary, meaning I'm leaving my family, friends, and school behind for two years so that I can share this church with others. I've been blessed and I want everyone to be able to enjoy the Gospel like I have been able to. I serve because Jesus has asked me to and I want to share His love with the world.
