Hi I'm Marci

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I love music and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. My days were filled with my love for learning, and a sense of adventure. One things that I love is band, specifically marching band. I spent all my high school years, and my first year at college involved in the band programs. I play the french horn, as well as the piano. I love music. Music can convey feelings and emotions that words just can't. I spent this past year attending Utah State University. I'm an Aggie true blue! While at USU I found my love for the outdoors. Hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing are just a few of the activities that I enjoy. I am super excited for the next chapter in my life. I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary in Tampa Florida for the next 18 months!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have found a peace and love in this gospel that I can't find anywhere else. While going through a hard time in my life I had to choose to continue to learn of the gospel or not. I am forever grateful that I followed the promptings of the spirit to stay and continue to learn. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I have been able to find true peace, forgiveness, and love. I am so grateful for this gospel. It truly can bring peace from any tribulation. I know that when I choose to follow the Savior I am so much happier. I know that God has a hand in my life, even in the small things. I know that there is purpose in this life greater than what might be seen on the surface. We are God's children, and He loves us more than we can comprehend. President Thomas S. Monson said, "God's love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there." I believe in this statement with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in many positions of leadership throughout my life. I have served in many presidencies in wards. This taught me to look to the needs of others more than my own. I also learned this as I served as a drum major for my high school marching band for two years. I loved being able to show love to the students I was in charge of. These positions helped me to learn to love others and develop Christ-like attributes. I also have had the wonderful opportunity to use my love for music in my calling as ward organist.
