Hi I'm Scarlet

I'm Scarlet. I love chocolate, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving in the Canada Winnipeg Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I'm loving every minute of it! I love serving my Saviour and helping others come closer to Him. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a missionary and I look forward to continuing to serve my Father in Heaven throughout my life!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was only fourteen, I decided that church just wasn't for me. I laughed at the fact that my family actually believed in God. My mom decided to send me to EFY (especially for youth: an LDS church camp) for a week in the summer, and throughout that week, my whole life changed. I finally understood the purpose and importance of gaining my own testimony and believing in God. I've had many trials in my life that have made me question my worth and if there is indeed a "plan" specifically for me. I've learned that through faith, and true conversion to The Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can obtain that happiness that is found nowhere else. After that summer, I began having more self respect as well as respect for others. I was a lot nicer to my family, and things started looking up. I could finally see the big picture and know for a certainty, that I am loved and that I do have a purpose. This gospel completely changed my life. After I had a testimony for myself, my trials (although they didn't start to fade), started to not seem as bad, like there was always an up side or a lesson to be learned. Through Jesus Christ, I was able to heal and become the girl I never thought I was capable of becoming. I can honestly say that because of Christ, I will never be the same. I've never felt more loved or at peace. This in short, is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have a huge testimony of the "little things" and I know that the basics are SO important. Such as, prayer, scripture study, and Sabbath day observance. I have the privilege of studying the scriptures every single day, especially the Book of Mormon. That book has brought so much purpose and meaning into my life! No matter what I'm going through, I love knowing that I can flip through it's pages and find answers to my questions. I know that Heavenly Father really does listen to us and He answers our prayers!
