Hi I'm Talmage Richardson

I love classic rock. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love classic rock. I love being a missionary in the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission. I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I enjoy music and sports, and I love a good laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. So were my parents. But this in NO way means that I continue in this church because of tradition. I know that it's the true church on Earth, and it's the best tool to bring people closer to the Savior, Jesus Christ. This church makes me happy, and it can bring happiness to everyone. I've studied the scriptures, mainly the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and I've prayed to God to know if they are true. Through the Holy Ghost, He's confirmed that they are. I also had the same confirmation about the prophet Joseph Smith, serving an LDS mission, and many other things. Being a Mormon has not always easy or comfortable, and sometimes there might be rules that I don't understand all the way. I've learned through trial and error (mostly error) that God's way is the right way, and it is ALWAYS the best way. Always. I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ will always make things better. God will bless me and help me out if I keep his commandments. Some days, the only way I can feel good at all is by saying a prayer or reading from the Book of Mormon. Doing those things also give me strength to avoid bad choices. For example, if I read my scriptures and say my prayers in the morning, then for the rest of the day it will be TEN TIMES easier to resist constant temptation of pornography, or I'll be TEN TIMES less prideful, etc. All in all, I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying to Heavenly Father every day. I also read scriptures every day. Those two things bring me closer to Jesus Christ. I try to always make the right choice, even if it's hard. I also try to show everyone respect. I want to be 100% loyal and honest. Probably the biggest way I live my faith is by constantly trying to change to be better today than yesterday. In my church, I've held a few different positions. I've been in leadership positions in my youth groups, worked a LOT with music, and worked in the family history department and missionary department. So this means that I helped people with their own genealogy and helped out the Mormon missionaries. I am currently a full-time missionary in Oklahoma.
