Hi I'm Jonell

I am a Mom, wife, and daughter. I have lived in the Midwest most of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family. I love Arabian horses and enjoy riding. I love the country and take in nature each day as a blessing in my life. I am a runner, 7 miles a day. I don't run because I have to...but because I really want to. I love gardening and reading literature. I work as an underwriter for a local bank and help people buy houses to make their home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ through a dear friend of mine when I was 17 years old. She had been a friend of mine for many years and I treasured her values that made her stand out as a young person. When I was at the door of making life changing decisions in my life I turned to many different religions for answers yet found none until I asked my friend about what and the why of the Mormon religion. Through the missionary discussions my testimony grew of the Saviors love for me. I read the Book of Mormon and felt the spirit of truth in the pages I turned. More than anything I watched the people...how they behaved. What was the fruits of their labors? I also - was so very impressed by all the answers that I finally had to all of my questions. The ...why...and what...and how were all answered and I knew that the Church was true and that Jesus Christ was the head of it. I was baptized 25 years ago and my testimony continues to grow in every aspect of life. It has truly blessed my life and I am eternally grateful to the Savior for clearing the path through this journey I have before me. Sure, I have difficulties still but I now have a greater understanding and peace in my life that I am not alone and that as I go through these struggles...I am better for it if I can endure and endure well ...all the more blessing it will be to me...now...in this life...I can be happy today....and not wait for...if...and when.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to live my faith through callings. I currently serve the women in the church through teaching the gospel and serving in any way needed....but, have served in the young women and primary and seminary program. I love missionary work and the opportunity to share the gospel with my friends and family. My parents are not members of the church so any opportunity I have to help them feel the Saviors love I do. I am strengthened by the testimonies of my children and my husband. I love the words of the prophets and love the light in my life that they give to me freely.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jonell
Being a Mormon is a blessing in my life and the lives of my family. I think of being a Mormon is like being part of a family....even a bigger family than my very own. It is one of the reasons why we call each other brothers and sisters...because we are truly brothers and sisters in the gospel. Show more Show less
