Hi I'm Bill

I am a retired Air Force Colonel, husband, father, grandfather, and a Mormon.

About Me

I served 25 years in the US Air Force and later 16 years teaching at a local college. I recently retired to help my 94 year old mother who lives alone. I have traveled throughout the world serving my country and accompanying my wife as she traveled to recruit students for an international boarding school. During our travels we raised 6 children and currently have 15 grandchildren scattered throughout the United States. We now spend our time traveling again to visit our children and their families.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised by my parents as a Mormon, I discovered for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's Church on the earth today. At age 23 I decided it was time for me to find out once and for all if this religion I was raised in was correct. I read Moroni verse 10:4 in the Book of Mormon and gave it a try. I followed the instructions in that verse and I was given a witness and the sure knowledge through the Holy Ghost that indeed the Book of Mormon was true. That witness has never wavered to this day. I have received many other witnesses since that time that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is indeed restored on this earth today and that the doctrine and precepts of this Gospel bring joy and happiness if followed.

How I live my faith

I love the Lord and am so grateful for the opportunities to serve Him by serving others. I am daily blessed being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have been enriched throughout my life as I have served in numerous callings. I attend the temple as often as possible and cherish the genealogy work we perform therein. Following and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ has made me a much better person than I would otherwise be and has given me strength to press on in spite of hardships and adversity. This Church has taught me to be a better son to my parents, husband to my wife, father to my children, and grandfather to my grandchildren. It has also taught me to be a better disciple of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
