Hi I'm Akemi

I live in Mexico. I love books, and my family is the greatest gift I have. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Reading is one of the activities I enjoy the most. It is because of good books that I learn new things about this world. I love reading the scriptures as much as fictional. Whenever I find free time, I read a book or a short story. “A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Why I am a Mormon

Knowing that this Church is true brings me countless blessings in my life. The principles that I learned through the gospel provide me peace and joy. I am not scared to fall as long as I live a righteous life based on the standards given by Jesus Chirst Jesus Christ is my savior and my greatest example, so I want to follow Him, and try to be like Him. Our Heavenly Father has given us a way to come back to Him. This life is not about suffering but learning. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have set the LDS Church to provide the guide so we can learn and enjoy the journey in this Earth..

How I live my faith

I'm the music director for the children in my ward (or congregation). I'm currently waiting to go and serve the Lord on a full-time mission. One of things I do to live my faith is to pray to God. I have a strong testimony of Heavenly Father and that He answers my prayers, and I love to recognize His hand in all the things I do. It is by the Holy Spirit and pray that I can make the best decisions and focused them on serving the lord.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Akemi
Serving a mission is a privilege and a blessing. Making the decision of serving on a mission requires of the desire of going. In my case, I voluntarily decided to serve the Lord on a mission. This decision is not made without constant meditation and prayers. From the way I see it, I want to thank Heavenly Father for the many blessings He has given me. I want to thank Him through my service. Also, I see mission as a way of growing in all the possible manners (spiritually, emotionally, etc) It is a win-win situation. I learn, but at the same time I teach. Show more Show less
