Hi I'm Carmen Beth Clark

I grew up in Idaho. I have four children and an amazing husband. and I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a large family there are 10 of us kids. hard work and a strong knowledge and faith in out lord Jesus Christ went hand in hand with our daily lives. at an early age I learned the value of hard work and seeing the results of hard labor. from canning produce from our 3 large gardens to sawing and chopping wood in the fall. I learned basic gospel principles while weeding and tending the garden or working alongside my father. I love music and crafty things. over the years I have enjoyed teaching my children about the gospel the same way that I learned, in the garden, or on daily walks. when I was almost 6 years old I had a beloved older sister die from a long battle with cancer. I was devastated and it was a very difficult time for me. having a sure knowledge that she was waiting for me has helped me over very rough patches in my life. I have since lost another sister and my father. knowing that they are there waiting for me strengthens my faith even more. I love the temple and all the blessings it provides. within the quiet walls I feel the love of my father in heaven and savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

just before I turned 8, I caught the chicken pox and was worried that I could not be baptized. it was a horrible thought. I don't remember any conscious decision to be baptized. I had always had that decision made. I remember being taken into the bishop's office with spots all over myself for my interview. I remember him telling me that I would be well and the spots would be gone so I could be baptized. 1 week later the spots were gone and I was baptized. I profoundly believe that you should live what you believe. I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. and I live the laws of the gospel with joy in my heart. this is the true gospel and I cannot deny it. this is why I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

at present I teach the 11 year old children turning 12. it is amazing how smart and amazing they are. children are so precious to our heavenly father. I love sharing stories from the scriptures and our from leaders with them. along with teaching children I enjoy visiting teaching. every month I visit sisters share a message and see how they are doing and if they need help with anything. this is a wonderful way to get to know the sisters in my ward. I usually give them a small inexpensive gift that ties in with the message;for example one month it was alight bulb when the message was about hidden talents. one of the biggest blessings in my life has been attending church every week for my whole life, so I can learn more about the savior and his teachings. over the years I have taught different ages of primary children and served in scouting programs. sharing my testimony and beliefs with those I came in contact with

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Carmen Beth Clark
reading the scriptures brings you closer to god. brings you closer to your family members. it also brings you closer to a realization of the importance of all god's children . Learning from the scriptures helps when you teach others. using examples from the lessons you have learned helps make the scriptures come alive for those you teach. Show more Show less
