Hi I'm Heather Strong

I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I'm a student, artist, sister, reader and explorer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, eating, painting, good views, laughing, driving, cute kids, chocolate, singing along to the radio, traveling and concerts. My Dad is a math professor and my Mom plays in the Los Angeles Philharmonic. I am the oldest of 5 kids, I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I attended my first year at Brigham Young University from 2013-2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always grown up being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but up until I went off to college I had always leaned on the testimonies of those around me. I accepted what I grew up being taught but I didn't have my own knowledge of its truth. As I set out on my own my faith began to be tried and I began to realize that I really did have a testimony of the Gospel. I now know for myself that the church is true. The Book of Mormon was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith and is the truest book on Earth. I love my Savior, he gave his life for each of God's beloved children, that we can return to live with Him someday. The Gospel brings me joy and peace that nothing else on Earth can bring.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission in Ciudad Obregon Mexico for 18 months. I am dedicating this year and a half to God to help bring His children to a knowledge of His love for them. I am excited to help my brothers and sisters in Mexico grow in their faith and gain testimonies of the the gospel of Jesus Christ.
