Hi I'm Dennis

I grew up and live in a small town in southern Idaho. I started my own garment decorating business & served on the city council.

About Me

I have been wonderfully married for 48 years and have 3 great children and 11 wonderful grand children. I love college football and have volunteered coaching football, baseball and track. After serving on the city council for 16 years, my sweetheart retired me, and I now have the opportunity of serving more in other areas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to wonderful parents who taught me the gospel from the beginning. Unfortunately, in my late 20's I went awol for about 3 years. Our children pulled us back and when I walked back into that first meeting, I was overwhelmed by the spirit testifying that I had come "home"! I have never looked back since then and am now preparing to serve a full time mission in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. I know through personal study, prayer, and daily living, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that He has restored his true and living church through the Prophet Joseph Smith in these latter days. He lives! He loves every person on this earth. We are all God's children and He is our Heavenly Father who desires us to come back to Him. That is only possible through His only begotten son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I visit others and help with service projects weekly and often daily. The youth are very dear to my heart, and I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve them in various leadership capacities most of my life. I believe they teach and help me far more than what I might give to them. By praying and studying every day, I feel closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and have an increased love for those I come in contact with.

What is the priesthood?

Dennis
Priesthood is the power and authority which Jesus Christ used to create this earth. It has within it's scope not only the power of creation, which is life itself, but also the sustaining of the entire universe. Indeed all things everywhere were created and are controlled by that priesthood. Righteous men, called by God for service and leadership, may be given a portion of that power and authority, but it can only be used in righteousness and in accordance of the mind and will of God, otherwise, "Amen" to their priesthood authority and power.
