Hi I'm McKayla Chischillie

I love to read, I am half Navajo, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My Name is McKayla. I am the third child in a family of six. I love to read, hang out with friends, and I love to dance--though not well. Last year, I started my Freshman year at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents were converts to the LDS church. I have learned much from their faith and testimony. My family and I moved to Page, Arizona, and my faith was tested; this is where I first began to gain my testimony. I know when I do not live the commandments, I feel lost. The past year, I lost my Grandmother, who I was very close to. I know that through the Gospel and the Church, there is comfort and I know that families are forever through the Church. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true, and I can receive comfort, love, and forgiveness through the Gospel. I know Joseph Smith was a true Prophet and he restored the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know Thomas Monson is a living prophet and he follows the counsel of God. I believe the Book of Mormon to be true. I am grateful to have the Church in my life and I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served as a youth woman leader, on a compassion committee, and I teach the children each Sunday. I attend my meetings at Church on Sunday, I read my scriptures daily, and I live worthy to attend the temple. I look for opportunities to share my testimony.
