Hi I'm Kayla

Born and raised in Idaho, I was adopted through LDS family services. I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. :)

About Me

I sing and dance (my favorite is tap). I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums. I absolutely LOVE musicals!! Whether it's being in them, watching them, or singing along to my favorite soundtracks and acting like I'm owning that stage I LOVE IT!! #MusicNerd I am planning on getting a degree in English Literature studies so that I can teach. I would love to be a professor and share my love of these archives of historical culture with others. A list of my favorites: Poem:The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, Poet:T.S. Eliot, Genre:Plays, Play: (That I've Read So Far)-Hamlet & Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.. yep I mean I could go on forever, but who wants to read that? ;) And one last thing..... I THINK YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is an undeniable feeling I have when I am at church and whenever I am following the teachings of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I have found all of the things that are taught in this church, and that the principles and foundations of the gospel are true. I started at square one and worked from there. As crazy as it sounds now-a-days, I believe that there is a living God, and that I am his child. I know that He loves me. I have seen His hand work many miracles in these modern days. He is always there, we just have to be willing to notice how He has a part in every bit of this wonderful world and all of the goodness and joy that it has to offer. Through His eternal plan of happiness I was able to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Uruguay, Montevideo mission! It's so exciting! I absolutely love every second of being able to share this gospel with others and watch it bless them and change their lives. So I guess it's kind of easier to live your faith when you are a missionary, but I still have to work at it, because every day we all have the opportunity to improve and be a slight degree better than the person we were yesterday. So everyday I have one goal - most of the time it's being a more Christ-like person - but I make a goal or at least think about what I could do that day better than I did the day before. And at the end of the day I go over my mental list and see how I was better and what I still need to improve on.
