I was converted when I was 14. I the oldest of 3 boys. I love the church, the people and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ

About Me

Hi, I'm Tonny. I mostly preferred to be called Tony, seeing that it sounds more right and that it was suppose to be like that, unfortunately my father and mother being an immigrant from China, they don't know English. I love to play sports such as soccer, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, badminton or any others. I like to work out in the gym and to exercise a lot to build up my body. I also like to play games on computer and game systems sometimes when I'm stuck at home. Other times I love to watch movies mostly action and comedy. I am currently attending college, for now I am on my 2nd year of college and currently taking Police foundation. In my future I want to become a Police Officer for several reasons. To not help the needed, to protect people from themselves and others, to people know the law and teach them how to do things right. But not only that but to also know how to protect my own loved ones, my family and how to keep them safe from harm.

Why I am a Mormon

When I started reading the book of Mormon, reading the bible together I saw they they both go one with another. The book of Mormon is there to help me in a way understand the bible and to understand the Lords teaching. As I continue to pray and live how the prophets and the people who followed the Lord I felt that it was the right choice, that living like this though maybe though gives the greatest of happiness. So far I have felt the most happiness I can ever had in 2 weeks, l was tempted a lot but I continued to stay strong and stayed in the light. I felt not only strong but happy and joy to know they way we've been shown is the right one. I also have another story through the power of prayer. One time I lost my favorite watch, being unable to find it wherever I looked, under the couch, in the car, behind my self, every corner of the house. Then I realized that I can't find it, so I decided to pray and ask the Lord for help. After I prayed and asked for his help, I had a strong feeling that I should look in that direction, in that specific spot and I was surprised to see that my watch was sitting right there. I felt not only relived but also happiness that I found my watch and that the Lord was there to help me, to help me be happy and the tell me that he is real, he is there watching over us. That is why I am Mormon, that is why I follow the Lord, his teachings and the teachings of the Prophets of old and of today.

How I live my faith

I like to read my scriptures, read the ensign, and love going to church activities. I go to our family home evening where we have a short lesson then we have the activities. Then I go to Institute class where its not only spiritually nourishing from the lessons given from our wonderful teachers and leaders but also fun and interactive. We then after that have our activity which is also fun and interactive but also times where members and also investigators can get to know more about each other. I also whenever I have time go teaching with the missionaries. I tend to help teach new investigators on the first lesson, helping them understand and know more about Jesus Christ and our church. I also help contact or meeting people on the street and introducing them to the gospel. Currently I go to my YSA Branch where mostly everybody is around the same age. However I'm one of the youngest being at the age of 18. My current calling is 2nd counselor in the Sunday School presidency where I help not only teachers but other members and non-members as well in Sunday school. I help them find the place where they want to go and where should they need to go so that they can learn what they need to become better.
