Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Minnesota, I love a good laugh and trying anything new and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Minnesota, raised by Mormon parents and a few older siblings. My parents experimented with my education growing up and I've tried public school, tutoring, home-school and "un-school." I've learned to be curious about everything and I love new challenges. I love cooking, eating, dancing, and a good conversation with anyone. I believe every single human being out there has an amazing story to share! I'm serving a mission in California and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a full-time servant of the Lord and spread the good news of the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is Christ's church. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I was excited to be cleansed from sin, and I knew God was happy with my decision, but I didn't really know what it meant until later in my life. When I keep the promises I made to God at baptism (to keep the commandments, represent Him and always remember Him) I am happier. I think of others more. I feel His light in my life. I feel close to the Lord. I can talk to Him comfortably and feel His love. Whenever I've chosen to break those promises I've gradually lost that love and light in my life. I am very, very grateful for the atonement of Christ that makes it possible for me to continually repent, turn back to the Lord and keep going; clean from my mistakes. This has made me so happy in my life. I know this church is true -- that the truths taught can help anyone change and come closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

Faith is believing in something enough that we act on it. I have faith that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and He's saved me through this gospel. I live that faith by repenting every day, following Him, and sharing His word with God's children. Through Him, I have been able to help people in a way I never ever could on my own. I am learning a lot on my mission that will help me live my faith much better when I'm back home than I did before. I plan to continue serving God's children and learning how I can become more like Him. Living this gospel will bring more joy into your life than anything thing else you can find! It has for me.
