Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in Dominican Republic, beautiful caribbean island, I'm going to serve a mission in Provo, Utah. Im a Mormon !

About Me

I'm a psych student who loves her career choice, I grew up in Dominican Republic so Spanish is my first language. I loooove arts, all of them from music to sculpture, I'm a huge fan of food (also a vegetarian) I like singing, reading, cooking, movies, running, learning new languages (j'aime le français!) and being with my loved ones. I grew up as a member of the church. I LOVE reading the Book of Mormon and serving in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a mormon my whole life, at first I depended a lot on my mom's testimony, but as I grew up and started reading the scriptures and attending church activities I gain my own testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and now I am preparing to serve a mission in Provo, Utah and will share my personal testimony with everbody out there ! This is true cause nothing in the world has ever giving me the joy and bliss I feel by living this gospel. I'm a MORMON, I LIVE it, I LOVE it.

How I live my faith

I'm my ward I am in charge of music, I direct the hymns on the meetings and direct the church choir I also have been giving music reading classes in my ward for everybody who desires to learn, its a good way for members to invite friends and family to meet the church. What do I love the most about church activities ? camps and conferences for youth, they helped me so much to obtain my personal testimony of the gospel, it also gave me the chance to participate as conselour and help young men and women to have a beautiful spiritual experience.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is our constant companion. After we are baptized Heavenly Father gives us this special gift so we can have direction and know which decisions to make. It speaks to us through thoughts or feelings. Sometimes it can be hard to recognize, like any other language, we have to learn to speak the language of the Spirit. The Spirit comforts us in times of struggle. Through feelings and impressions it helps us to recognize truth. Show more Show less
