Hi I'm Jeana

I grew up in a suburb of Detroit. I am in the Nursing program at BYU - Provo. I'm a huge dork but in a good way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include running and playing the trumpet. I am passionate about science, and take all the courses I can get my hands on. My favorite course so far has been Human Anatomy. I want to be a nurse anesthetist and a mom. I am currently in the Nursing program at my school. I am also involved in the marching band and a youth mentoring program. I speak Spanish, and love to read anything by Octavio Paz.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, I have stayed by my own choice. My faith has always been my own choice, and although my parents encouraged me to attend church they never forced me to. I am a Mormon because I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father with divine potential. I am a Mormon because I am imperfect, but that is okay because through the Atonement I am forgiven. I am a Mormon because I am me.

How I live my faith

I participate in visiting teaching, and faithfully visit each assigned sister every month. I don't just stop there, I talk to her as often as I can and do my best to serve her however she needs me. I've been told that I have a quiet testimony, so although you won't find me shouting out my beliefs on every street corner, I will answer any question asked of me, and I won't hestitate to defend my faith in the appropriate situation. I live my faith mostly through service, as I strive to do whatever I can to serve my fellow man. I love reading the scriptures. I also love the personal relationship you can have with your Heavenly Father through prayer.
