Hi I'm Jon Diederich

Grew up in the Holla Hood just on the outskirts of SLC, UT. I'm a ski bum and I love playing the piano. Born and raised a Mormon.

About Me

I love to live in the mountains, I am an artist. I play lacrosse, baseball, Ping-Pong, and never forget Billiards! I will be going to the University of Utah. I have been to France and loved it there. I tried escargot which actually wasn't too bad. My brother is serving in Russia, Moscow and my sister served in Missouri, Independence mission. I am serving in the Germany, Frankfurt mission (the best mission)! I'm a natural born Mormon who loves Chocolate!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Why not is the real question. When ever I go to Church, I get this sense of peace and belonging that I can't really describe in words other than the Love. I finished reading the book of Mormon not forever ago, about a year ago for the first time and as I was reading Moroni 10, His promise, I just got an overwhelming feeling that I needed to pray about it. In that chapter it tells us to test it. To ask God in Christ's if the book is not true, so I did. I got on my knees and I offered up the feelings in my heart, and at the time I wanted to know if the book of Mormon was a true testament of Jesus Christ, and the feeling I got after praying was amazing, stupefying. As Elder Holland stated in a conference, the spirit is a still small voice, but the power it has in our hearts is like Thunder clashing. It is so amazing. It is different for everyone else, and trust me when I say this, because I am saying it from experience. You just know when your feeling it, its indescribable but you just know that what you are feeling is from God. It is a feeling you get like none other, stronger than all other feelings in the world. So now I am serving a Mission and I am loving the constant comfort I get from studying the Book of Mormon and from praying to my father in Heaven, who loves me so much, every day!

How I live my faith

I love to do service with my crew, I would always go out and shovel my neighbors walk ways before the snow freezes to them. I LOVED attending mutual night with my ward, where we would get to know each other better and we would play games! Right now I am showing my faith by serving faithfully in Frankfurt Germany.
