Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up in Boise, Idaho. I will soon serve a mission in Kansas.

About Me

My hobbies are working on cars and painting pictures. I work at a detail shop with a man who was recently baptized into the LDS church. I love everything my hometown has to offer; mountain biking, wakeboarding, rafting the river, snowboarding. On October 1st, I will report to the MTC to prepare to serve the great people of Kansas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a few simple reasons, the main one being Happiness. It is amazing how happy you can feel when surrounded by those who believe the same things that you do, and knowing that Heavenly Father and Christ love me and know me personally. I love that I have someone to talk (pray) to when I'm alone, whether I'm scared and need comfort, or I just talk about a funny experience I had. The feeling I get when I pray or when I read the scriptures is so comforting, and I know someone is always there watching over me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through my everyday activities. People I grew up with in school knew I was LDS, and they refrained from using vulgar language or inappropriate topics while I was around, simply because I had expressed my distaste for those types of things. I love when friends get into the car and I have the Christian station playing on the radio, because it's music they're not used to hearing, but it's still fun and upbeat music that everyone can enjoy. When I drive to work, I listen to old conference talks instead of the radio, because it helps me have something to focus on while I work: Christ, being kind, my calling, etc. My ward is very involved when it comes to helping someone in the area move. It's fun because neighbors and people driving by can see this group of men and women carrying furniture and boxes, obviously not from a moving company. But it shows others how involved we are and how much we care for others around us.
