Hi I'm Sydnie

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I am a student at Utah Valley University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active. Working out, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. Anything that can be done outside, I love to do it! I also enjoy cooking, taking pictures, doing my little sister's hair, and reading. I am going to college and love to study and learn new things. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been a member since I was baptized at 8 years old. I continue to follow this gospel because I know it is true. I am continually converted every day by doing the small and simple things. I say my prayers in morning and the evening, study the Bible and Book of Mormon, I attend the temple at least once a month, I attend church and partake of the sacrament every Sunday, and my family gets together once a week; a lesson is given and we discuss and learn about different gospel principles and doctrines. I know this gospel is true and that it brings happiness into my life. I know Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove and that he restored this gospel to the earth and translated the Book of Mormon. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers every single one of my prayers. Heavenly Father knows me by name and cares about me. I know Jesus Christ suffered on the cross and atoned for my sins and the sins of all the world. I know because my parents got married and sealed in the temple that my family will be together forever and for all eternity. I love this gospel so much and know again that it is true. I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I used serve with the young women in my ward ages 12-18 years old. This calling is focused on advising the 14 and 15 year old girls. I absolutely loved this responsibility and learned so much from the girls every day. We would organize an activity every Tuesday and usually do a service project or something that would help the young women learn and grow physically and spiritually. But now, I am a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love it so much and wouldn't trade it for anything. I am at a training center right now to learn more of the gospel and on December 1, I will head to Argentina and serve the people in Neuquen. I will proselyte and teach others about this amazing gospel of grace, love, happiness, and families. For the next 18 months, I will be dedicating my life to the Lord, bringing His lost sheep back into the fold. I love this work!
