Hi I'm Kristin

I'm a published author. I'm a cancer survivor. I'm a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full-time online high school teacher and a full-time stay-at-home-mom to two boys. I love to write and just published my first young adult novel with national distribution. I do many book tours and events in the community. I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 32 and have been beating it ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my religion has helped me understand the nature of God. It has taught me the patterns of faith and prayer and I have learned that these patterns work. From exercising faith and prayer, God will guide us, because He loves us. This past year fighting cancer has been full of ups and downs. I like to say that my days beating breast cancer were "Dickensesque"- it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It gave me daily opportunities to remember that Heavenly Father is in control and that trials can either break you or make you unbreakable. And it is up to you which way it is going to go.

How I live my faith

I get to participate in my ward's primary where I get to work with children. My favorite thing is to hear their beautifully simple answers to life's most complex questions.
