Hi I'm Kari Morgan

I grew up in Montana. I'm serving a full time mission in Ohio. I love Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to eat bacon, play tennis, swim, hike, listen to music, play guitar, read, watch movies, go for long walks and drives, go to community events, and draw people. I grew up with my mom and my twin brother Forrest. My mom grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but fell away pretty hard when she moved out of her parents home. My sister and 2 older brothers are not members. My twin and I attended a Baptist church until by some miracle, Visiting Teachers from the LDS church found my mom when we were 7. They starting taking us to church and did so for about 5 years, in which time, my mom never attended. She finally came back into full activity when we were 11. Forrest had a very bad skiing accident at that age which caused my mom to go inactive again. We were in the hospital for a year. This event drastically changed my life. My brother is very different now, but I am so grateful he is still here on this earth. I love him with all my heart. I am so glad to say that my mom has been back to the church full time since 1 month before I left to serve an 18 month mission. I am excited to work with her towards attending the temple and one day being sealed for all time and eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know there is one way back to Heavenly Father and this is it! There are saving ordinances that everyone must receive. I want to help others know that and partake in that. I believe the Book of Mormon contains the words of my Heavenly Father as does the Bible. It tells me how I should live my life and I have seen and experienced the joy that comes from following His words. It is amazing! I am a Mormon because I believe that it is the best way to live! I am a better person. I'm not perfect by any means but by living this Gospel and practicing it's teachings, I improve from day to day and I love the feeling of progression.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings as a youth. My first calling as an adult was a teacher for the 8-10 year old girls. My faith grows each time I accept a call to serve and do everything I can to magnify that calling. I really enjoy participating in the church activities. By involving myself in these activities, I have grown more confident in being around people. The Church lifts my spirits and provides a natural energy boost. My hope is that others will see this energy/happiness and let it effect them positively. I try to be a happy person. Attitude is everything! I observe others and always try to be a source of help for them. I know I need to continually build my faith in order to be a strong light. The way I do that is by following my Saviors example. Scripture study is so important as is prayer.
