Hi I'm Andressa

I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

For the last two years, I have been a student at a university studying English and dance. I am also a pianist, vocalist, and athlete. When not busy, I find myself often reading or baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon by my wonderful parents. When I went to college, I found myself struggling with the desire to commit to all the standards given by the Church. A very dear friend of mine noticed my pain, and began to focus her energy in helping me gain back what I was losing. She helped me get back into the Church, guiding me to earnestly pray to my Father for help and seek truth in the wondrous words of The Book of Mormon. As I reestablished my testimony, I found myself feeling a light that I had never noticed I'd lost. My eyes were opened to the beauty and all-encompassing grace of the Atonement of my Savior, and I was overwhelmed with a love for this truth. Now, as I'm becoming a full-time missionary, I am fully aware of the blessing of the gospel in my life. Nothing brings me more happiness than to know that I have a Father in Heaven, who never leaves me on my own and does everything for me out of love, and a brother, my Savior, that has literally given His all in order for me to receive eternal life. I have seen the juxtaposition of a life led in darkness and a life patterned after the light of truth, and it is self-evident which is the greater path.

How I live my faith

Because of my musical interest, I often use my piano skills to express my feelings of faith. This can include playing hymns or other religious music at church. I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission, in which I will devote 18 months of my time to entirely sharing the gospel.
