Hi I'm Hunter Aiono

I'm a missionary. From Las Vegas, Nevada to Taiwan Taipei. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Samoan. I'm the oldest of nine children. Food enthusiast. Laughter specialist. Love playing sports. Love to help others in need. Currently serving a mission in the Taiwan Taipei Mission 台灣,台北

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because have experienced first hand what joy living and following the ways of Christ brings. I love the feeling of comfort and peace that thoughtful and honest prayer gives me. I love that I will be able to still be with my whole family after this life. I love the values and morals that the church encourages, and how my parents have blessed my life by passing on those same values and morals to me. I love The Atonement and how Jesus sacrificed himself for us and how no matter how many times we mess up, there is still hope for us to change. I am a Mormon because I trust in our Heavenly Father's plan for us, and know that He loves each and every one of us and tailors an experience in this life specific to each of our strengths and weaknesses.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in it. I exercise my faith by visiting members in our church and checking up with them, seeing if they need help with anything and just ensuring their well being. This is called Home Teaching. I also live my faith by being an example of it. I live the standards of our church through abstaining from alcohol and tobacco, as well as being chaste, even when the social norms of the world would label me as an oddity. I am right now serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I sacrifice 2-years of my own time at my own expense to go and serve the people of Taiwan. In Taiwan, I spend every day teaching people about The Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping them better understand the role of The Savior in their life. The happiness, peace, joy and direction that comes to others when they come to know their Savior and feel his love in their life is truly life changing- and my role in helping others feel this change brings a truly humbling sense of happiness and gratitude beyond all description. By serving others, I help touch their lives that they too might in some way change and receive the blessings this beautiful gospel has to offer.
