Hi I'm Vaughn

I'm born and raised in the Philippines. I study design and architecture. I love music and the arts. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Vaughn, I grew up here in the islands of the Philippines. Growing up I developed a deep appreciation to nature, a love for the arts, music and sports. I spend a lot of my time outdoors and exploring the places around me. I study design and architecture right now in college. I have found great joy in expressing myself through creativity and arts. Bringing concepts and inspiration to reality has always given me a lot of excitement. My goal is to be able to build sustainable housing in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church. I was taught at an early age by my parents the basic principles of the gospel. They introduced me to the scriptures, at first I had a hard time knowing for myself if these are true. My parents and family have always shown a great example of who they have become and I wanted to know for myself if the gospel is true. During high school, I became eager to ask Heavenly Father about the truth of the gospel, the scriptures and all the things that I have pondered about. It is then when I knew that God gives answers to our prayers. He knows us and the desires of our hearts. It is then when I knew that the gospel is true and that I know that living Christ's teaching would give me true happiness. I have found great blessings in continuing to follow Him through this gospel. I also found great joy in sharing it to others, for I know that this gospel can turn us to the people that God desires us to be.

How I live my faith

One of things I love about this gospel is that you have many opportunities to serve others. I have grown to love the privilege of teaching and learning. I have enjoyed teaching the youth and giving service to others and visiting them in their houses to get to know them. I saw that through doing these small deeds, we come closer to how Christ himself came to serve us and bring us closer to our Father in Heaven. If I have one thing that I cherished the most, it would be the opportunity to teach. Christ himself is a teacher, indeed He is the Master Teacher. As I was given the same opportunity to share His gospel; I came to know Him, the Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no better way to describe coming to Him than by living His teachings and sharing it to others through example and helping them along the way. There is no greater call than the call to teach His gospel. It is as if we echo His voice to them that are looking for peace and happiness in their lives. He rewards us for our service with great joy and a stronger desire to seek them that seek for His grace.
