Hi I'm Peter

I'm 18 years old and I'm the 6th child of 8. My family and the church are the greatest and most important gifts that God gave me.

About Me

I come from a fairly large family, consisting of five sisters and two brothers. I'm also an uncle to nine, four nephews and five nieces. I have recently graduated high-school with a French language diploma. I will be serving in a Spanish speaking mission so I'll hopefully be able to speak three languages by the end of it! I love living in Canada, especially in the winter. I enjoy snow-boarding and I've been doing it since I was 13. I think life is wonderful and the world in which we live is beautiful. I have a pet dog, snake and a fish named Bruce (he's special!). Once I return from my mission, I hope to go to University to study pre-med.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I've been raised in the Church, I have gained a testimony of my own that I know that this Church is true, that Joseph Smith did in fact see Heavenly Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is the prophet of the restoration and like many prophets before him, "has sealed his mission and his works with his own blood" (D&C 135: 3). I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is a companion to the Holy Bible. When reading the Book of Mormon, I feel such an over-whelming feeling when reading the final words of the prophets. You cannot read the final testimony of a prophet and not feel compelled to go out and teach others about the truthfulness of the Church and the Book of Mormon. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've been called to serve a mission and assigned to labor in the North of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I'm very excited to be able to get to know the people that I will be coming in contact with, to better know myself and ultimately to gain a closer relationship with Heavenly Father and his Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ. At Church, I've been able to serve as Deacon's Quorum President, a Teacher's Quorum Counselor, the Priest's Quorum First Assistant, a Valiant 10 Sunday School Teacher, the Ward Family History Consultant Leader. I enjoy serving others including helping other's move, being able to bring the sacrament to those who cannot attend Church due to health restrictions, participating in Local Food-drives, service projects and doing temple work for those who have passed beyond this life.
