Hi I'm Bekah

I'm a pianist and a singer, I love my family, I love the outdoors, and... I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I absolutely LOVE playing the piano and I have for as long as I can remember! I've been involved in musicals and choir groups and have enjoyed those more than I could ever describe! I am ALWAYS listening to music and couldn't live without it. I love to draw and paint. I also love running races, competitive swimming, basketball, football, hiking, and baseball! I've attended one year of college at Utah State University. and I want to work in the health science/medical field some day. I'm me, I'm trying to be who God wants me to be, and I know when I do that I truly am happy! I believe we should live life with a "glass-half-full" attitude, no need in wasting this precious time on that negative nonsense:) I have a big family, we love being together in the gospel, and I never thought I could love them more until I left for my mission. I am currently serving a full time mission in Columbia, South Carolina!:) And... I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon from birth, so for a while you could say I went and was a member because that was how I was raised and what was expected of me. As I got older I began to feel the Holy Ghost, leading and guiding me to help my testimony and understanding of the church grow till I knew that the church was true for myself. I didn't need my parents to lean on for that any longer. Ultimately, I'm a Mormon because it is the happiest way of life.:) But my truest conversion has come within the last two years of my life. During this time I have come to fully understand, love, and appreciate the Atonement and what a special gift it is that Jesus Christ suffered for all of us, individually, because He loves us! If I can always remember that eternal life, my salvation, is in His hands and all I have to do is follow Him and the wonderful plan He has for us, I will live a life of happiness. I know that those truths are found in this, the only true, and restored church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live the gospel each and every day. Every day is a new day to change and improve. Which is what the gospel is all about. I am a missionary, and I share that with all I meet. I have felt the joy and peace this gospel brings and hope everyone at some point in their life can feel of this great joy as well. There is no greater blessing than living in this crazy world with the peace and hope and assurance the gospel brings.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Bekah
Honestly, this is a question that I have mulled over and talked about with so many people, I love it! Absolutely not! We help everyone! We are a christian church, we serve, that's what Christianity is. You can see in the news that we, as a church, are quite often found at nearly all natural disasters immediately on call and there to serve our fellow brothers and sisters in this world. It is our privilege and honor to assist those in need, no matter what religion, no matter what race, non of that matters. We should be helping and loving all. Here in Utah, I feel like there is a title that has been created called "The UTAH Mormon". And from my understanding, that basically means Mormons in Utah only talk to, help, care for and befriend those of their faith ONLY. And I can say I have seen that, and it should stop now. Once again, we are a church that gives service to all and should love all. How are we to convert new members and help our church grow if we only assist those of our faith? If we reach out to one and all, we will and can grow as a church in every way. I will help those in need, it is not conditional help, it is not conditional love. I am a Mormon. Show more Show less
