Hi I'm Kaelyn

I was baptized in March 2014. I am a missionary in the Baltimore, Maryland Mission.

About Me

I went to Catholic elementary and middle school. Both sides of my family are Irish Catholics. I was introduced to the church October 2013 and was able to be baptized in March 2014! I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am so happy to preach the gospel and bring others closer to Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Catholic, but stopped being active as a teenager. There were a lot of things I had questions or ideas about that didn't have satisfying answers. One day when I was riding home with my family friends and neighbors senior year, they told me a little about their church. I thought they were joking because it was everything I had always wanted-Jesus visited other parts of the world and there is a prophet today! They invited me to listen to a church broadcast called General Conference. I listened that weekend and a peace I had never experienced took over me. Soon after, my friends took me to the temple grounds and visitor's center. I could feel that same peace, I could not stop smiling. I started taking lessons from the missionaries. With each visit I became more sure this is what I needed. I asked my mother to join me, and the lessons continued for months. It took several months before I was baptized, but it has been the best decision of my life! I know I am a Child of God. I love this church and know that it is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored the church. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on this earth today.

How I live my faith

I love participating in church activities and service opportunities. I work with the missionaries a lot-in teaching my family and others. I often go with them for lessons. I love teaching and sharing the Gospel. I read scriptures daily and pray often. I try to be a servant of God daily by acting upon the daily opportunities he sends me to help others.
