Hi I'm Vaitiare

I love my family, dancing, playing the piano, watching movies, and the outdoors. I'm half Tahitian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am involved in various sports such as basketball, soccer, and track. Also, I've played the piano for ten years, and I enjoy dancing. In high school, I was part of the Athletic Training Program for three years. I graduated high school in the year 2013. So far, I've taken two semesters in college. My major is exercise physiology to achieve my dream of becoming a physical therapist. Recently, I received my mission call to the Vanuatu Port Vila Mission. For 18 months, I will be serving in the New Caledonia Mission Region preaching the gospel in the French language. I am a really kind, nice, and courteous person. It is almost impossible for me not to smile :) I also enjoy meeting new people, serving others, going to the beach, hiking, camping, snowboarding, listening to music, and traveling. I try my best to better myself everyday and enjoy life! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to good parents who are members of the Church. Through their strong testimonies and examples to me, I wanted to find out for myself if this Church is true. I read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, and I prayed to God to know if this book was true. Having had faith in Jesus Christ, real intent, and believing I would receive an answer, I did. Everything I was taught as a kid made sense to me. I know the Book of Mormon is true; it is the word of God that testifies of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know I am a child of God, and He loves me. I know that His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ atoned for all of us, and with that knowledge, I know everything will be alright. I know Jesus Christ suffered everything, so He can understand how to comfort us. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses my life, and is the greatest joy I have in my life. Soon, I will be serving a full-time mission for the Church, and I am enthusiastic about sharing my testimony to the people I will be serving because I desire to share this joy that I have to them; I want them to be happy like I am because the Gospel makes me happy. I have the knowledge and understanding that my life is a gift, it has a plan, and it has a purpose. I have strength and direction in my life, and I know that I am not alone.

How I live my faith

I look for opportunities to serve others every day even if it is a small gesture because I know it can mean the world to someone. I visit teach sisters that I am assigned to visit in the ward. I would go to their home and see how they are doing, ask if there is anything I can do for them, and give them a message to uplift, bless, and inspire them. Visit teaching is one of the ways I can become more Christ-like. In the community, I participate every year in the Hunger Walk, and Mormon Helping Hands. Also, I volunteer at People's Kitchen serving food. Soon, I will being serving a full-time, volunteer mission for the Church.
