Hi I'm Lissette

I am from Puerto Rico and I grew up around the world since my father was in the U.S, Army. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to four wonderful children and a grandmother to fourteen. I am bi-lingual and I love languages. I am an artist. I love to read and I love people.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined this church when I was eighteen. I came from a dysfunctional family and looking for acceptance, I turned to a hippie group. Of course there were drugs. I was not happy. In one of my college classes, a lady started talking to me about the church. I went with her the following Sunday and WOW what difference I felt ! I listened intently and asked many questions when the missionaries taught me. I was baptized a month later. I left my sweet island and family a year after I joined the Church. Shortly after I met my future companion, we were married. We had four children and now we have fourteen grandchildren. Ten years after I left Puerto Rico, I went back with two of my children to visit family. My dear father watched me very closely. Finally one day he asked, "Who are you? You have changed for the better." I loved hearing this! Time has passed and it has been over many years since this took place. I love the education I have received in all of my classes. It is a spiritual and secular education. I am a better person, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I am so very grateful that I took the time to listen to why the missionaries had to say!

How I live my faith

I have really enjoyed working with the youth and women's groups of all ages. I can't read music, but I so love to sing! I love to share the Gospel message with everyone. One of my greatest desires is to remind all of who we are while on this short journey here on earth, sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, children of a royal birth.
