Hi I'm Ya Ting Chang

I'm from Taiwan. I have passion for drawing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a returned missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served in the Australia Brisbane Mission from December 30, 2014 to June 01, 2016 . My hobbies are drawing, singing and traveling. I love cute animals, especially dogs and cats. I love to hang out with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a covert. I'm the first member in my family to join the church. On February, 2010, I heard there was a Free English class of the church. I was 18 at that time and wanted to learn English. Without a hesitation, I decided to go there. At first, I was unfamiliar with the new place, but I could see people there all with smile. They were friendly to me. I felt loved. After the class was off, I met some missionaries and they invited me to learn the gospel. I said yes. Actually, I didn't believe in God. However, being with them, I felt comfort. They taught me that there is really a God, who is our Heavenly Father. He loves me so much. I kind of felt something. I just didn't know why there was a small voice told me what they said is true. Somehow I decided to follow the voice to do what is right. After meeting with the sisters for a month, I baptized on March 6, 2010. I truly know that this gospel is true. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. They love us so much. I know that They called the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though I'm still the only member in my family, I know for sure that family can be together forever. If I do my part, my parents will see how the gospel bless my life. They'll have desire to know my faith. I love them so much.

How I live my faith

Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to see goodness in everyone. My family and friends know that I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I share what I know to them. Love is the essence of the gospel, especially to my loved ones. I became a happy person after knowing the gospel. It doesn't mean life after joined the church without trials, but I learn how to face them in a postive way. I know I'm a child of God. I live my life in high standards, like dress in modest, no sexual relationship before marriage, being honest, not drinking coffee and tea, etc. I know no matter what happens, God's always there for me. He can protest me and help me to be a better person.
