Hi I'm Randy

I'm thankful I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah.

About Me

WOW!! I have such a great life, not exactly sure why I'm so blessed but I do know I have a great family and wonderful friends. Heavenly Father has blessed me with a mother and father who are true examples of honestly, service, and love. MaryAnn my wife never stops living life to the fullest, she is beautiful inside and out. We both have fun hobbies together such as marathons, triathlons and grandchildren. We just love our grandchildren and think the sun rises and falls on their beautiful little spirits. Our children have blessed our lives for the last 35 years and will continue until Heavenly Father calls us home. I enjoy long rides in my Jeep and scuba diving in the ocean. The water has always been my home away from home and the ocean is the most perfect playground on earth. My wife and I have lifelong friends who enjoy the same activities as we do from church services to seeing the world. I truly enjoy the life that Heavenly Father has blessed me with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the feeling I get when the Holy Ghost bears witness to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I've had times in my life when I felt lost and struggled with my beliefs, as soon as I open the Book of Mormon, read a conference talk, go to a church service or get down on my knees, I feel the love our Heavenly Father has for me. I can not deny those feelings of eternal love, they have been the true source of my beliefs since I can remember.

How I live my faith

Working with the youth in our church have always been my favorite callings, the youth teach us about the future and I'm able to use my past experiences to steer them gently into the next important part of their life. I think working with the youth helps me stay younger as I get older. I've also been so blessed being able to serve in leadership positions that allow me to learn important lessons from others. These leadership positions stretch me into areas that I would never seek for myself, in fact I would run from them. When being called to a position that I have no experience in or feeling extremely lost, I have to reach to our Heavenly Father for guidance, love and mostly patience. I have always been amazed at the teaching of our leaders and the love they have for mankind. Without my faith I would have failed long ago and lost the direction I need to learn correct principles about this life and the life to come. In my travels I've met so many people who have a love of life and who serve others with the pure love of Christ. They are people of all denominations, interests, occupations and hobbies. I've tried to live my life by example and share the gospel in a way that people will know how much my faith means to me.
