Hi I'm Julie Bucker

A mother of three children. I love to play the flute.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with 3 small children. I have an associates degree and love to play the flute.

Why I am a Mormon

All churches that lead people to God are true, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the fullness of the gospel on the earth. In this church the ordinance of baptism and receiving of the holy ghost along with priesthood and temple ordinances are accomplished under authority and specific anointing from Jesus Christ himself. They are administered both physically and spiritually, therefore fulfilling the measure of all righteousness. It is the church designed for the spiritual lay man to get to know Jesus and ascend into exaltation.

How I live my faith

I teach once a month in church and help visit families in the neighborhood.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Julie Bucker
I have been yearning to understand lately the purpose for the differences for men and women. There is a lot of speculation about why women don't have priesthood keys. This is the way I look at it. As a woman, I can receive any spiritual gift according to God's will. I am not allowed to tell you what to do with your spiritual gifts/Priesthood power, because that is Jesus's and the Men's domain if they are set apart for that. Look at a circuit board. Power flows from positive to negative. This allows power to flow. If there were two positive terminals on the battery (i.e. women delegate priesthood power), then electricity would not flow. The circuit would have no life. I am forced to conclude that men and women together allow God's system to operate like a battery on a circuit board. I got the idea for this from a website teachinghearts.org where a Christian has uncovered the tabernacle in exodus as a model for all of creation. Very cool stuff. Show more Show less
