Hi I'm Rachel

I'm from Utah. I am a full-time missionary in the Maryland Baltimore Mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love any and everything outdoors. I adore rock climbing, kayaking, hiking and boating. I love to water ski. My favorite place to visit is Lake Powell, UT. To spend a week away from all the noise of the world is great. I love the Utah State Aggies and love going to school at Utah State. One day I hope to be a pediatric physical therapist.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I struggled as a teenager to know if what I did every Sunday was right. One day I knew that it was time to find out for myself. My family all believed it, my neighbors did, my friends did, but I wasn't sure. I spend some time that week outside of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and did some deep pondering. As I sat outside of the temple and could see all the temples of the Salt Lake Valley in the distance I thought to myself, "why would the pioneers give up so much for something that wasn't real, that wasn't true?" It was then that I felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that they wouldn't and that this church, the LDS church, was true. I have also come to know that this church is true as I read the Book of Mormon. If you truly have questions, read the Book of Mormon. You cannot discount something that you have never researched. If you would like to know more, read the Book of Mormon. I know that as I have spent hours reading, the Lord has quietly testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true and that this gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that this gospel is true and that it comes from God. I love it with all my heart and I do my best to share my knowledge with those around me each and every day because if I have something so great, why wouldn't I want to share it with others?

How I live my faith

I love to participate in my community through community service and through family history. I served as a family history teacher in Logan, UT for 9 months and loved it. I do my best to help those around me feel loved. I love helping those at Utah State University through new student orientation. I love to meet the new students and make their life a little easier as we become friends.

Who are the Mormons?

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians as much as the next person who believes in Christ is Christian. We believe in Jesus Christ and all that he taught while on this earth. We believe that he is our Savior and that he died or atoned for our sins. Show more Show less
