Hi I'm Hannah Simpson

I'm a southern belle, music lover, and a smiling daughter and sister from the good ole green Mississippi state. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is simple. I grew up in a loving Christian home with 3 amazing siblings and 2, high school sweet heart parents. I've enjoyed the open spaces of the wildlife and connected with God all my life through nature and the joy of music and dancing. I am a convert since age 21 and set out on a mission from the first moment of availability. The love of God to us all as individuals was my first lesson in life and it has led me to become a member of His restored church. I'm a simple southern girl and I prefer to live with all my heart. And what I have been learning lately is to serve the Lord with all my life. I have dreams and so does Heavenly Father. But what's even greater, are the dreams He has for me!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because God had that in His plans for me. I found the teachings taught within the Gospel to be true. I wanted to take the time when I first heard of it and listened to the teachings to study and ponder on these things. I took my time because becoming a member of His church was a serious commitment. Within the time I utilized to study and research all the precepts, I also prayed and tried it out. I went to church and asked questions. I put His Gospel to the test. I can't describe to its potential the feelings I received from doing this. However, I can say that I felt love and comfort as I prayed about my concerns. I wanted to know if this church was the path I should take and to which I should commit, and I knew. The Holy Ghost testified to me that it was true and real and that my life would change for the better and the more righteous. My life did indeed change and The Lord has blessed me for my decision of being baptized in His Restored Church on the earth. I can feel His love and guidance in all my choices, as I endure well.

How I live my faith

I have been taught faith all my life. I'm grateful for the Christian teachings I've had in my home since day one. I knew God was there by every creation of nature surrounding me. I knew He cared when I prayed and felt my heart pricked by the Holy Spirit. Faith, for me, has been like a muscle. In order for it to grow, that I may live by it, I must exercise it. Sometimes, through trials or sometimes by new leaps in life. The biggest leap I've taken in life was to become a Mormon. The Lord has called me to many positions and lessons that I may be prepared for this life as a member of His Church. I had to change many things about my life, which is what I would call, repentance. As long as I live my faith I will feel the desire to not be so attached to worldly things rather than to what truly matters. It helps me become happier and enables me to retain more peace in my life. My calling currently is to serve a full-time mission and to loose myself and go to work. I will experience these joys I receive from the church every day for a period of 18 months.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Hannah Simpson
The Book of Mormon is filled with many testimonies that combine as one whole testimony of the Savior and Redeemer of the world, The Lord Jesus Christ. It was written by prophets, whom God had chosen. They were all good men that lived in the ancient Americas from around 600 B.C. to about 421 A.D. They testified of the coming of the Messiah to His death and Resurrection and all his teachings. It is also a witness of all the Words of the prophets, including the Bible. Within it's pages, it contains a promise and way to know of it's truth. It exhorts all to read and ponder the message written and then to pray with all the heart to God, in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true. The answer is promised to come by the feelings from the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
