Hi I'm Ted

I am a college student. I am a mechanical engineer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am newly married and currently working on completing a bachelors in mechanical engineering. I grew up with 4 older brothers and an older sister. When I was a teenager my family adopted 2 little sisters. I spent a lot of time growing up playing in the beautiful mountains of Utah, snowboarding, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. I am passionate about family and my education and am excited for the opportunities ahead of me in my future career.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father live, that they love me, and that they have a plan for me to gain eternal happiness. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth, taught his gospel, and established his church, with all the truth, authority, powers, and ordinances that we need to be saved in the kingdom of God. I know that, after being taken from the earth for many years due to the wickedness of man, this church and the gospel of Jesus Christ were restored to the earth in their fullness through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the kingdom of God here on the earth and that it is lead by a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I have witnessed first hand the changes that can be wrought in our hearts through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I have felt his love, mercy, and forgiveness in my life. I know it is real. I know I can be cleansed from sin and return with my family to live forever with my Savior and Heavenly Father. I know that heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, and that He loves to pour out his blessings upon us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to do those things that I know my Heavenly Father would want me to do. This includes a conscious and dedicated effort to keep his commandments, to continually expand my knowledge of Him and his son Jesus Christ and the plan that they have for me, and to serve those around me. At age 20 I left to serve a two year mission in the Philippines where I worked every day visiting with the wonderful people there, teaching them the doctrines we know to be true, and serving them in any other ways that we could. I also live my faith by doing my very best to put my God and my family first, especially in preparing myself to be the father that my future children will need me to be.
