Hi I'm Trevor

I'm an honor student, a pianist, a runner, a fighter, a writer, and an engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing the piano. The time when I've felt the best is when I can make another person fall asleep to my playing. I love writing stories, ones with real messages. I love running, and I would go mad without it... I tremendously enjoy Engineering; building things of all sorts is my favorite pass time. I enjoy spending time with my friends. I love talking to people and teaching people, I love my family, I love my work and I love working for other people. It is my greatest pleasure to serve others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel is true, and a man can become closer to God, his family, and himself, by abiding by its precepts and teachings than any other creed, religion, philosophy or teaching in the world. I am a Mormon, and THAT makes me happy. :) I was born into the church, to a wonderful family that taught me the best things that can be taught. There, I was nurtured and loved and taught the way that would bring me lasting, true happiness. As I grew older, I became homeschooled, and my spirituality was only increased thereby. I cannot stress enough how important those years were for me; the impact that they have had on my life is immense. When I finally re-entered the social atmosphere in high school, things were quite different from what I thought they were. I will admit that the first few days, I felt absolutely terrible, but then, with the help of my seminary class, I began to see that life was still just as beautiful as before. I have had serious hardship in my life, too. During my sophomore year of high school, I was admitted to college, which was quite a challenge for me. Being around adults obtaining their education rather than teenagers was quite enlightening, and though it was quite challenging at times, the rewards are incalculable. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true, restored church here on the earth today. I know that we live under the teachings and guidance of a true and living prophet, called of God to help us along the path of life. I love my Savior with all my heart, and I am eternally indebted to Him for His sacrifice for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by magnifying my calling as an Assistant Scoutmaster to my ward's troop. I try to teach them all about how to become men, how to become leaders and to become the noble and great ones that God talked with Abraham about. I home teach, meaning that I spread the gospel within my own neighborhood by visiting certain families with my companion and sharing a spiritually uplifting message. I try to show other people every day the happiness and joy that can come from living the teachings of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I try to help other people experience that same joy through service and learning.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ was the most ultimately heroic act in the history of the world. As He suffered, taking upon Him the sins of every single human being that has ever been born and ever will be born, He saved our eternal lives. By that tremendous pain and suffering, He saved our lives, and made it possible for us to come home. He paid our debts for us, and we owe Him everything; how then can we not listen, obey, and follow Him? Show more Show less
