Hi I'm Matt

I've always lived in Utah. My favorite place to be is outside. I love to be active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going on a mission to the Peru Arequipa Mission and I leave on September 23rd, 2014. I love snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, jumping off of stuff, golfing, basketball, football, and just being outside in general. I love to run around and be active. I have a lot of energy. I love funny people and I feel like I am pretty funny myself. I wish I more creative, but I love to see the things other people create. I love to be with friends and family. I am in my element when I am around people, interacting with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been going to church because my parents are members, however I have truly gained a testimony of my own. I know that my Savior loves me and that he died for me, I know that I have better days when I read the Book of Mormon and that it improves my life, I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Everything I've learned just all adds up and the spirit that I've felt in my life when I am living the way I should lets me know that I am in the right church. I love my Father in Heaven and I love my Savior. I know that they bless me when I live up to the standards of the Gospel. I know that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

I have always gone to seminary and church for as long as I can remember. I have served in many leadership callings in the youth groups that I have been in, including the young men group in our ward. I have always loved to home teach and I've had the great opportunity of having two families on two separate home teaching callings that needed me to take the sacrament to them after church. That has always been awesome. I have done my duty well, I am always trying to get better at reading the Book of Mormon and I am just trying to improve. I am headed on my mission and that has been quite the process to get ready, however I think I have done what I need to do so that I can be the best missionary that I can be.
