Hi I'm Jonathan Holland.

I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. I love the Gospel and computers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20-year-old AV Technician from Texas. My mother was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, while my father was raised Baptist. Having had both of those influences in my home, I grew up with a desire to explore the spiritual options available to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have gained immeasurable joy and happiness from living the Gospel and following the example set by Jesus Christ. To quote a children's song in the Church, "I know when I [was] baptized / my wrongs [were] washed away, and I can be forgiven and improve myself each day." If there's a more wonderful message out there, I haven't found it!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two-year full-time mission, sharing the wonderful message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as will receive it. I have previously served as an assistant scoutmaster and a youth group leader.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jonathan Holland.
Because we love Jesus Christ and all of our fellow sons and daughters of God! We want everyone, and we do mean EVERYONE, to experience the joy and happiness that we have gained through this gospel! Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Jonathan Holland.
In the words of Joseph Smith, "We believe a man must be called of God by prophecy and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority to preach the gospel and administer the ordinances thereof." If someone tries to perform a Gospel Ordinance, such as baptism, without the priesthood authority to do so, it has no power behind it to "Bind on Earth and in Heaven." We also believe that that authority is found nowhere else on Earth than in the restored Church of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
