Hi I'm McKenna King

I grew up in a small town in Utah, now attend BYU, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is McKenna, I love to play sports, especially softball. I am a freshman in college. I am the oldest of four children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a shadow of a doubt that the gospel is true. I love it with all my heart. The gospel is my rock. I am so grateful to be part of a church where through the atonement I can repent, be forgiven, and return to like eternally with my father in heaven, and my family. I am so grateful for temples, and for their power to seal families for the eternities. I am so grateful to have a family that was sealed in the temple so that I never have to worry about not seeing my family members once they have passed on. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and I know that he restored the church. I am forever grateful to him for that because I do not want to even imagine where I would be without The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon, and for its power to answer any questions I may ever need. I am so grateful for the power of prayer, so that whenever I stand in need of comfort, help, anything, I can pray to my father in heaven for answers. I love the gospel.

How I live my faith

I served as Laurel President in my wards young women's for just over a year and a half. That was such a blessing for me because I had the opportunity to step up and help those in need. I became closer friends to each one of my young women, and loved every minute of it. I love to be a leader, and set an example to the girls just younger than me. I loved getting to help plan activities, and assist my young women president. Being Laurel President blessed me so much, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. Young Women's is an amazing program.
