Hi I'm Noreen Williamson

I am a California native, mother of 3 and Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom all my life. I love being at home and taking care of my family and home. I love being a mother of 3 boys. They have taught and blessed my life so much. I have also been blessed with 2 wonderful husbands. My first husband loved working with computers and we were married happily for 11 years until he was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. His death was a shock and a huge trial for our family. He was a wonderful husband and father who was missed terribly. With the help of the Savior, family, ward family and friends, we got through it and after 3 years, I was introduced to a wonderful man through mutual friends at stake conference. The minute I met him, I knew he was the man I should marry. My youngest son met him as well that day, and asked me if he could be their new dad. I was touched that he knew as well. We were married a few months later in my sister's backyard. I will forever be grateful for his sacrifice to marry me for time only, as I am sealed to my first husband. Alan and I have had many wonderful experiences together and don't take each other for granted. He lost his children due to parental alienation, so my kids are a blessing to him as he is to me. Life can be very painful but very rewarding if you keep your faith in tact and remember the blessings of the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it teaches you how to be happy, free from addictions and what life is about. I can't imagine my life without it. I am so grateful I was raised in the church and have been blessed by seminary, girls camp, temple pageant, girls basketball, road shows and the gold and green ball to name a few. I have many happy memories from church and appreciate all my leaders who were wonderful examples of Christ like behavior. I love the people at church and have made many forever friends. The gospel teaches people to love each other despite their weaknesses and recognize we all need each other to be kind and forgiving. Our role model is the Savior because He was the only perfect to live upon the earth. I love thinking and learning about Him and am in awe of the love He has for all mankind. I truly know He is the Savior of the world and love Him!

How I live my faith

I have been a volunteer for my kids schools ever since they started school. I had fun getting to know the kids, teachers and administrators. I have also volunteered in my neighborhood association as the treasurer. I am also very active in abating graffiti and picking up trash wherever I go. I love visiting teaching and look forward to it every month. It gives me a chance to get into someone's life and forget about my own problems. I have gained my best friends through visiting teaching and recognize how it blesses the giver and receiver. I also love to cook, so when I hear about someone needing dinner, I am quick to make them something. My grandpa was a chef, so I have learned to love good food and recognize it takes a lot of hard work and time. I love to talk in church because I learn so much and love to share what I have learned. I serve wherever I can and always learn a lot. I am so grateful for the Savior, who was the ultimate giver.
