Hi I'm Sarah Olson

I'm a babysitter and a passionate athlete. I love being a Mormon!!!!

About Me

I grew up playing soccer from the age of 4, competitively from the age of 8. I also got into basketball, volleyball and track. Sports have always been a huge part of my life! Whether I was playing, being a ref/scorekeeper, coaching, or cheering friends on, you could count on me being at all of the sporting events! I currently work as a babysitter for different families in my area. I love playing and spending time with children of all ages!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an Agnostic home, not knowing who God was, and not really caring. Death was always something that troubled me though, and I came to a point in my life where I wanted to know what would happen after I die. I knew there had to be something more. My grandparents who are Mormons would bring my brothers and I to church with them once or twice a year when they came to visit. When I was 13 I decided to keep going to church, even when my grandparents weren't there. I began learning with the missionaries who taught me that death is not the end. They taught me that God knows me, loves me, and has a plan for me! They taught me that the same church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth has been restored! The Holy Spirit told me that what they taught me is true. 8 months later I was baptised by my Grandpa who holds the priesthood authority of God. I'm so grateful for my grandparents who shared the truth with me! Over time I have been blessed to learn of my purpose in this life, to help others to come unto Christ. I know that Jesus Christ suffered all of the pains and hardships that anyone has ever felt and ever will feel. He did that for each and every one because He loves us. Though He died on the cross, He rose again three days later and lives still today! He is our perfect example. He is our Saviour. Because of His sacrifice we can be clean from our mistakes and we can endure all things! His church has been restored in these, the last days. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church that Jesus Christ established while He was on the earth, a church lead by prophets and apostles. This church is run by Jesus Christ himself, how could I not be a Mormon?!

How I live my faith

I teach boys and girls aged 8-9 in Sunday School each week at church. The children I teach are so pure and kind, I learn new things from them every single time I see them! As well, I love to talk to everyone I meet about their religious beliefs and to hear about how their faith shapes the way they live their life, I think it is beautiful. This also gives me the opportunity to share with others how my knowledge of and faith in Jesus Christ has turned my life around and made me a better person.

What is being a Mormon like?

Sarah Olson
Being a Mormon is wonderful! As I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible I come to know my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ a little more each day. This brings me so much joy and helps me to live a better life. Since I have joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have become so much happier, and much more grateful than I ever have been for all that God has given me. Being a Mormon has turned my life around and helped me to get on the path that God wants me to be on. :) Show more Show less
