Hi I'm Jayden Mullins

I love classical music. I love playing my trumpet. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started playing the trumpet in 7th grade. As I developed this skill, it grew into a talent and then an absolute passion. Classical music and classical trumpet are absolutely a part of me. Without it, I wouldn't be who I am today. I have received a scholarship to study trumpet performance at the university I have always planned to attend. I am literally in love with music. I'm going to be serving a full-time LDS mission starting August 27, 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and raised in the faith. I have always remained faithful, but I never questioned why I am a Mormon until about a year before I got my mission call. I decided to sit down and decide why I choose to remain in this church. I began reading my scriptures and listening to church authorities talks and just absolutely absorb everything I could about the Gospel. I began to pray earnestly to know whether this was the only true and living church on this earth, and I received my answer. I am a Mormon because I have tested it and found out for myself. I've used the church to overcome trials in my life, and without the church, I might still be lost.

How I live my faith

I have always gone to church every week, and try to participate in my classes as much as possible. I love to study my scriptures and enjoy reading and listening to the General Authorities speak in General Conference. I'm preparing to serve a mission for the next two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am super excited to enter into this calling as a servant to the Lord.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jayden Mullins
The Atonement is Christs life and his sacrifice for all of us. He died on the cross and suffered in Gethsemane to be able to pay our debts. He suffered through not only our sins though, He also knows everything we've physically and emotionally felt. He did this so that we had someone to look to for help, and so that we have the knowledge that there really is someone out there that knows exactly how we feel. Show more Show less
