Hi I'm Austin

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a regular teenager who likes sports, outdoors, and family time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played football from age 9 up until my Junior year of high school, then had to quit due to injuries. I competed in Track and Field in high school and just missed becoming a state champion in my event. I hope to go on to compete at the collegiate level some day and to continue improving myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt first hand the concern and love that our Father in Heaven has for each and every one of us. I know he loves us all, and that I am his son. I am a Mormon because I want to be with my family forever, and I want to see God's face in all his glory some day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am going to serve a two year mission in the Berlin, Germany mission to help further the work of salvation among my spiritual brothers and sisters in Deutschland. I aim every day to come closer to my Heavenly Father and live more like he would have me live.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Heavenly Father is a God of Justice. In order to be able to live with Him again, we must be perfect. With humankind being in the fallen and impure state that it is, we needed someone else to meet Heavenly Father's demand for perfection and also extend to us a merciful law. This person is Jesus Christ and his merciful law is that we come unto him, repent of our sins, and be forgiven. Christ was the only person who could meet the demands of justice because he was perfect and free of any sin. The Atonement was when Jesus Christ suffered for all of our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and upon the cross at Calvary. It was when he paid for our imperfections and mistakes, and arranged for us to overcome death and have the ability to live with God again some day if we repented and had faith in Christ. The Atonement gives us a way to become better people, be forgiven, be cleansed, and come closer to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
