Hi I'm Ezra

I am from Accra, Ghana. I love the Restored Gospel and that's why I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student, and I love Art, Music and Sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but guess what, that's not why I'm a Mormon. When I was much younger my testimony was based on simple logic - There was no way an ordinary man such as Joseph Smith Jr, with no prior education could have woken up one morning with an imagination active enough to write a Book he called Scripture without any divine inspiration. It just didn't make sense. At my younger age, this was good enough for me but as I got older, I felt I needed a spiritual addition to my simple logic. I therefore read the Book of Mormon, translated by Joseph Smith with my family, cover to cover a number of times. I read it alone as well twice or thrice after that and I am currently reading it all over again because I just can't get enough of it. Reading the book alone, I just knew it was true and there was no doubt in my mind about the genuineness of the prophet of the restoration through whom we have this Book from Heaven(as I call it). He was indeed called of God as he professed, and the children of God have the gift of being able to recognize the truth when they hear it in its fullness. Being a "mormon" as we're called by the rest of the world is one of the best things we can be in this life, and guess what, it goes beyond the veil into the next life, because like the cornerstone of this true church, Jesus Christ, being a Latter-day Saint is an positive eternal experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by offering a helping hand to anyone that needs it, because that's what the Lord would have done, and would have me do. I am a Ward Missionary in my Ward and though my calling has no specific job description(as far as I know), I try to do anything that uplifts my spirit siblings.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The Purpose of Mortal life(The life we live now) is to prove to our Father in Heaven that we love Him and will obey Him even when we can't see Him. After we prove ourselves to be obedient to His laws(which are beneficial to us by the way) we are promised eternal life, the life that our Father has. Show more Show less
