Hi I'm Jason

I was born in Switzerland. I love to exercise outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Switzerland, and lived there for the first decade of my life. Then my parents decided to move back to the States so that we could be closer to family. One of my passions is reading. I love a good historical or fantasy novel. Another thing I love is exercising outdoors. Whether it's running, biking, or swimming, I'm all for it. I competed on my high school running teams, including Cross Country and Track and Field (as a distance runner). I also recently just did a triathlon, which was hard, but I finished it and am hoping to be able to do another one eventually. I attended high school here in the States, and am planning on going to college to study math and science after completing my 2 year LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the peace and security that comes from knowing the Gospel of Christ. By knowing the plan that my Heavenly Father has for me, it gives me comfort that everything's going to turn out alright, even when times are rough. I also know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love me, and want me to return to live with them. That's why they've given us a modern-day prophet, who receives revelation for our time. They've also given us the Book of Mormon, which can give us answers to the questions we have today. I love this Gospel, and I love how it has given me hope and made me the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a lot of ways. One way is I attend church every week, and have the opportunity to partake of the Sacrament. Another way I live my faith is through the choices I make everyday. Choices like keeping the Sabbath holy, abstaining from drugs and alcohol, and watching my language. I always try to live in a way that would make the Savior proud, and while I'm not always successful, I keep trying to improve. One major way I'm living my faith is my decision to serve a 2 year LDS mission. For 2 years, I'll be leaving my family to go preach the gospel to the people of Finland. I'm doing this because I know how much the gospel has blessed my life, and I want to share that with other people. I'm hoping the Lord will bless me these next 2 years and help make me a worthy representative of his Gospel, and will help me touch the hearts of the people who I teach.
